Back when I had to live on $300 a month from welfare, I could not afford to dry my clothes at the laundry mat because it cost $1.50 to wash and $1.25 to dry a load and my son was a bed wetter, so I hung everything out on the clothesline. In the old days we ironed pillow cases, sheets, handkerchiefs, nightgowns and pajamas as welll as the regular clothing items. Do people still iron these things?
