District 3 schools scrimp, save, double up on jobs
Wearing different caps is how District 3 is operating these days. Officials are also saving money by streamlining. Similar success is expected in fiscal 2011. A draft of the budget was given to the School Board last week. Last year, the district cut 5 percent, about $1.2 million, from its budget.
